DIRECTIONS

We are located in Alameda, California, an island just off the coast of Oakland and across the Bay from San Francisco.

Our address is: 2601 Monarch Street, Alameda, CA 94501

Need some assistance getting to the distillery? Here’s how to find us:

1) IF BY LAND

By car or bicycle

We recommend using Google Maps to map your route to the distillery.

If you’re not able to use Google Maps, take the Webster Street Tube from Oakland to Alameda then follow these steps:

  • Exit the Webster Street Tube, then stay right and follow signs for Willie Stargell Avenue.
  • Bear right onto Stargell and continue until you reach Main Street.
  • Turn right onto Main and continue past the ferry terminal, dog park, and cranes.
  • Just before Main Street ends, bear left onto Navy Way and pass through the gate to the Naval Air Station.
  • Take the first right turn onto West Red Line Avenue.
  • Continue on West Red Line until you reach the stop sign at Monarch Street.
  • Turn left onto Monarch Street. The distillery is the second hangar on your right. Entrances to our bottle shop, tasting room, and offices are all located on the west/San Francisco side of the building.

Parking

We offer free, ample parking for both cars and bicycles, but please note that our lot is locked overnight, with gates closing at 5pm on Monday and Tuesday, and at 6pm Wednesday–Sunday.

If you plan to visit Faction Brewery or one of our other neighbors after your distillery visit, please move your car or bicycle first to avoid having it locked inside our gates overnight. If you’re making a day of being on the island, there is ample street parking outside our lot.

By bus

AC Transit bus line 96, which can be met along Webster Street in Alameda, runs to Alameda Point. Buses from Oakland include the 51A, the W, and O lines to connect from the 12th and 19th Street Oakland BART stations.

Please confirm schedules with AC Transit to ensure that bus transportation will work with the timing of your distillery experience. St. George Spirits does not influence or control these schedules.

2) IF BY SEA

The San Francisco Bay Ferry is a brilliant way to reach the distillery. You’ll enjoy a unique perspective on the Bay, feel the wind in your hair, and have a great excuse to swear like a sailor!

From San Francisco to Alameda

Ferries from the San Francisco Ferry Building and Pier 41 dock at the Main Street Alameda and the Alameda Seaplane terminal. Main Street Alameda is 1 mile from the distillery (an approximately 20-minute walk). Alameda Seaplane is 1.6 miles from the distillery (an approximately 30-minute walk).

From Oakland to Alameda

The Oakland-Alameda Water Shuttle operates Tuesday–Sunday between Jack London Square in Oakland and Bohol Circle Immigrant Park in Alameda. There is no water shuttle service on Mondays. Bohol Circle Immigrant Park is 2.5 miles from the distillery (an approximately 45-minute walk).

Check out current water shuttle schedules and plan your trip here.

Please note: None of the walking routes from the Alameda ferry terminals mentioned above provide any shade, so we advise bringing sun protection and a full water bottle if you plan to walk.

Lyft and Uber are also options from any of the Alameda ferry terminals, but wait times can vary, so please factor that in order to arrive on time for any reserved distillery experience.
